National League Play-offs

All the infornation about the National League Play-offs.

But how do they work?

Top spot in all three National League divisions are promoted as champions automatically - North and South champions go into the National division while the National League champions bag promotion to the EFL.

Teams finishing second to seventh go into the play-offs.

Clubs who finish in second and third go straight into the semi-final stage and are guaranteed a one-legged home tie for a place in the Promotion Final.

Teams finishing fourth to seventh battle it out in Eliminators for a place in the semi-final.In Eliminator A, the side who finished in fifth playing the side who finished in sixth and in Eliminator B, the fourth-placed team play the seventh-placed team.

 

Winners of Eliminator A then advance to play the side who finished second while the winners of Eliminator B move on to face the side who finished third.

 

It goes without saying, both winners of the semi-finals move on to the Promotion Final - held at Wembley Stadium for the National division and at the ground of the highest-placed in the Promotion Final for the North and South.
