Directions to Southport
Southport Football ground (Haig Avenue) is fairly easy to find. Most visiting supporters are expected to travel via the M6 leaving the motorway at Juncion 26.
From the South: Take the M6 and exit at Junction 26 signposted for the M58. Follow the M58 until Junction 3, and take the A570 past Skelmersdale. Stay on the A570 past Ormskirk (one-way), and this will take you into the Kew district of Southport. At the roundabout take the second exit, Scarisbrick New Road. The ground is situated just past the College (KGV) on the right, (Haig Avenue).

OR (because of possible delays from roadworks at the Thelwall Viaduct, between junctions 20/21, on the M6)
At Shrewsbury take the A5 to Oswestry and join the A483 to Wrexham and on towards Chester. Join the A55 eastbound just before Chester and travel onto M53 to Birkenhead. Travel through Mersey Tunnel into Liverpool and turn left A59 to Ormskirk. Turn left onto A570 for Southport. Follow directions as above.
This route is said to take 3 hours 17 minutes from Hereford.
You can travel to Southport by rail but the station is one and a half miles from the ground. There are regular trains from both Liverpool and Manchester.
