Ten Men Bulls draw
Hereford United draw 0-0 with Burton Albion this afternoon at Edgar Street after going down to ten men late in the first half.
The Bulls drop to fourth place but have the same number of points as Carlisle and Gravesend who are now second and third respectively. Barnet stay top one point ahead.
Tamika Mkandawire was shown a straight red card by referee Andy Turner for a late challenge (serious foul play) on Andy Ducros in the 44th minute.
The Bulls were forced to make changes but held on well for a draw. Both Tony James and Rob Purdie came on as subs late in the game.
But the main talking point from today will be the bookings. Hereford had five in total. Mkandawire received a red which could mean he will miss three games unless there is an appeal, and Gould, Smith, Hyde and Mills were given yellows. What is worrying for Turner is that his three oldest players had their cards for dissent. They should have set a better example.
A full report on the match will appear tomorrow afternoon.
