Piearce moves to Solihull
Southern League Premier Division club Solihull Borough have snapped up former Hereford United striker Steve Piearce.
Solihull manager Guy Russell said: "Steve has been out of football since leaving Hednesford Town last season owing to new work commitments."
Piearce came to prominence at Halesowen Town where he proved to be the Southern League's top marksman, forming a formidable partnership with Rob Elmes.
Graham Turner took the pair to Edgar Street in 1999, but Piearce was plagued by injuries. He only made 33 appearances for the Bulls in his three years with the club. During that time he scored twelve goals
Russell added: "Steve's a proven goalscorer and keeps himself extremely fit.
"He has already trained with us and I would have no hesitation slotting him straight into the side."
