Gould decision pending
Although an article in yesterday's Sunday Mirror suggested that Jonathan Gould has done a U turn and will not sign a permanent deal at Hereford now that the management has changed at Preston, there is, as yet, little evidence to suggest that is the case.
Gould is unlikely to be needed at Deepdale unless there are injuries to both goalkeepers who are in the Preston squad.
Bulls News has been told by sources at Preston that nothing has been decided on Gould's future. There have not yet been serious discussions with either Gould or Hereford United about the goalkeeper's future.
Gould is on contact at Preston until the end of the season. He is likely to want to keep the financial security of that deal which is beleived to be worth around £5,000 a week. Hereford United could not pay Gould anything like that figure.
At present Gould's loan spell at Edgar Street runs out on October 11th, so he is able to play against Accrington Stanley that evening.
Preston also have a player, Kelvin Langmead, on loan at Kidderminster. That deal ends today and Preston are waiting to hear whether Kidderminster wish to continue the loan. Langmead still has a squad number at Preston whereas Gould has not.
It appears quite usual that some deals are left to the last minute.
