Dagenham tomorrow
Hereford United travel to Essex tomorrow for their next Nationwide Conference fixture against Dagenham And Redbridge. The home team may not have had the best start to the season but will be eager to stop Hereford United from repeating their record winning result at Victoria Road last season.
The Bulls will take some comfort from the Northwich manager Steve Burr, the Vics drew with the Daggers on Saturday, who told the NLP: "No disrespect to Dagenham but they are the worst team we have played this season."
However even being "the worst team" did not stop Daggers striker Craig Mackail-Smith being rewarded with the Star Man award in the NLP report of the game.
Being on a Tuesday night Hereford United supporters will find this venue a difficult one to get to. However it is hoped that a large contingent of London Whites/Bulls will swell the numbers from the Hereford area.
It appears that there will only be live updates on the match into the Matthew Boyden programme on BBC Hereford and Worcester tomorrow evening. This would have been an ideal game for commentary either on the radio and/or internet but it is understood that no local reporter is available to travel to Dagenham.
Meanwhile it is understood that the BBC have not decided on a formula for Boyden who has replaced Bradders Extra.
Boyden, whose black country accent may not appeal to Hereford United fans, has written novels with explicit sexual content, perhaps not something you would expect of a sports programme.
He was dismissed from BBC West Midlands last January.
