Yeovil agree fee for Rose
Graham Turner informed the AGM of the Vice-Presidents Club last night that Hereford United and Yeovil have agreed terms over the transfer of Michael Rose.
The fee is £15,000 and there is a 25% sell on clause.
Meanwhile all seems to have gone quiet on the Gavin Williams front. Hull manager Peter Taylor has been pre-occupied considering his options after being offered the English under 21 post, and Dave Penney, the Doncaster manager, has made several signings including Jamie Coppinger from Exeter for £30,000.
Last week Yeovil chairman, John Fry, gave a statement to the Western Gazette aimed at trying to dampen down speculation over the future of Williams at Yeovil and warn off hopeful clubs.
He said: "There are a lot of people interested and Gary (Johnson - manager) is discussing with people who have shown an interest. But we haven't had any official approach to the club through the proper procedures. Until that (interest) is put in writing, the player is under contract and will remain so. Gavin Williams was a player we specifically targeted for our style of play and he has been very successful here. Hopefully he will continue to be so."
Should Williams be sold Hereford United can claim 25% of any transfer fee.
