Turner unhappy with Tretton decision
Speaking on Sky after this afternoon's game Graham Turner expressed his disappointment with the referee's decision to send Andy Tretton off early in the game.
Turner said: "We were disappointed with the sending-off for a professional foul. We had cover round to clear the ball.
"A decision like that basically has cost us dearly because the ninety minutes and the extra time hasn't half taken a lot out of the players. You would not have thought we were a man short throughout the game.
"I thought the players coped not only with the physical side of having to compete with ten men, but also the mental side. You loose a player that early in the game and it knocks everybody back.
"We were particually disappointed with a couple of his other decisions but that decision has gone a long way to costing us a place in the play-off final."
Meanwhile Terry Brown added: "It was an unbeleivable game. To go to extra-time and to win it on penalties, I would not have put my worst enemy through that. It's a long, long season to end like that.
"I do feel real heart-felt condolances for Graham Turner. His team have been a credit to the Conference, the best footballing side in the Conference. If the sending-off had not happened you don't know what would have been."
