Cruel defeat for rampant Bulls
After forty-four games, it all came down to ten kicks to determine Hereford United's season.
It was an extremely disappointing afternoon for Hereford, who lost out on penalties to Aldershot Town after a scoreless 120 minutes.
What a season it has been - 103 goals, 91 points and a great run of eleven consecutive wins to end the campaign. Alas, though, it was not to be.
There is a full report from the game here, and at a time like this it is important to remember the club motto: "Our greatest glory lies, not in never having fallen, but in rising when we fall."
Roll on next season.
