Purdie agrees new deal

Hereford United have confirmed that Rob Purdie will stay at the club for next season.

It is thought that the midfielder has signed a one-year full-time contract, and boosts the number of players in the squad to ten, without Graham Turner bringing in any new faces as yet.

One of those who left was Matt Clarke, who signed for Telford United last week, but Hereford United have said that he shook on a new deal on Monday 29th April. A statement on the club's official website reads: "at no time did he ask to go part-time or in fact ask if we would match an offer from another club."

Meanwhile, almost £2,500 was raised from the Football marathon held at Edgar Street last weekend.
