Round-up from tonight's action

The Nationwide Conference title is almost Yeovil Town's after nearest challengers Doncaster Rovers lost 1-0 at Belle Vue against Scarborough. Mohammed Sillah scored the goal seven minutes after half time. The Glovers need four more points to make sure of their promotion.

In Division Three, the relegation battle is still wide open after Carlisle United were held to a goalless draw at Oxford United. The Cumbrians remain inside the relegation places, two points ahead of Exeter City but level on points with both Bristol Rovers and Shrewsbury Town. Swansea City and Boston United are also too close to the drop zone for comfort, but the number of games left to play ranges from five to eight depending, on the team.

While the teams dropping into the Conference from above is far from clear, the feeder league champions are much more predictable. Tamworth are now thirteen points clear at the top of the Dr. Martens Premier with seven matches to play, one more than nearest rivals Chippenham Town. Aldershot are in a similarly confortable position in the Ryman Premier Division; they are six points clear with a game in hand over second-placd Canvey Island, who lost 1-0 at Hendon tonight. A 3-0 win at Blyth Spartans has ensured that Accrington Stanley remain on course for the Conference, and they lead the Unibond Premier by ten points.
