Ex-Bulls favourite to run marathon
Stewart Phillips, Hereford United's all-time leading goalscorer, is to run the London Marathon to raise money for a child with cerebal palsy.
The Hereford Times reports that Phillips will aim to raise funds for three year old William Gregory, who requires the money to go to London to receive treatment for some water which is on his brain, and also to pay for the specialist equipment required at their Herefordshire home.
Phillips said: "I have run a few half marathons and recorded quite good times at that distance, but I know the step up is a big one and I have been training hard and running more than fifty miles a week to build up my stamina."
If you would like to sponsor Stewart, please call the Archways Fitness Centre, Hereford, on 01432 354359.
