News round up: Ex-Bull watch

Sirdic Grant at Wembley in 2016

Former Bull Sirdic (Sid) Grant becomes the fifth new face at Malvern Town as the forward commits for the 2025/26 Pitching In Southern League Division One South season. He was part of the Midlands Football League winning side in 2015/16 before being released, along with Mustapha Bundu, due to being ineligible to play in Southern League South and West due to visa constraints.

On joining Malvern, Grant said his greatest achievement in football has been playing for Hereford in the FA Vase final. "Just to play at Wembley itself was amazing despite the result, it was still a great occasion and even better to play in front of 20,000 Hereford fans," he said.

Attacking midfielder Harry Pinchard is set for a trial at League Two Cheltenham Town. Sports journalist Jon Palmer said the Gloucester City man will link up with the Whaddon Road outfit in pre-season.

The Welshman left the Bulls in 2023 after making 62 league appearances and scoring three goals before signing for National League North rivals Gloucester City. He couldn't help City avoid the drop to step three, nor secure an immediate return to step two.

Southern League Premier Division Central side Kettering Town have signed "exciting winger" Connor Stanley. The former Birmingham City and Manchester United youth product joined Atlanta United from the Red Devils on loan, before a spell with Bolton Wanderers.

While at Bolton, Connor went on loan to Bamber Bridge, FC United of Manchester (loan) before a spell in the Vanarama National League North with Hereford. He also played at Stourbridge, and Alvechurch before signing for the Puritans (Banbury United) where he played in both games against the Poppies during the 2024-25 season.

Former loanee keeper Tom Donaghy signed a new two-year deal at Oldham Athletic, keeping him at Boundary Park until the summer of 2027. The 22-year-old joined Latics from Fleetwood Town in February 2025 and quickly caught the eye with his composed performances and professionalism after injury to number one Mat Hudson. He previously played for Hereford on loan from Fleetwood.

Winger Kyle Finn has left National League Tamworth to join step three Halesowen Town for an undisclosed fee. Due to family and work commitments, Tamworth boss Andy Peaks said Finn was finding it increasingly harder to commit, especially the hours and the long trips.

In 2021 after three seasons at Hereford, the former Coventry youngster - who has just had a baby with his partner - left and joined Tamworth. He now links up with fellow former Bulls Jamie Willets and Jason Cowley.

Midfielder Tommy O'Sullivan has left National League North champions Brackley Town. The club praised 30-year-old former Cardiff City youngster as the model of professionalism, dedication, and integrity, on and off the pitch. "His influence in the heart of midfield was vital in what will go down as one of the greatest seasons in the club’s history," a statement said.

Manager Gavin Cowan said O'Sullivan feels that he needs guarantees at this stage of his career and that he needs every minute on the pitch.
