Hereford FC Staying Part-Time Next Season Said Chairman

Speaking to BBC Hereford and Worcester this morning Hereford FC chairman Chris Ammonds has confirmed that the club will stay part-time next season.

But the new sponsorship deal with MandM may help the road to full-time in due course.

"We've got to try and look to move the club forward," said Ammonds.

"Clearly we're part-time at the moment, Tuesday nights and Thursday nights, and the reality is we are probably going to remain part-time next season just because of timescales and things.

"Every sponsorship deal like this or every new source of income helps us in our planning to try and improve and try and move forward.

"We've done a lot of work to try and access how much more it might cost us to in terms of the football side of the club to go hybrid.

"You are looking at costs upwards of six figures to try and move from where we are now to that. We've got to try and address that gap.

"The last thing we want to do is commit to doing it and then realise it was too early so we have got to be a little bit careful with it.

"Certainly every new sponsorship and every new income stream helps with our planning and we are determined to try and move the club forward."
