The Merseyside club, who have won four of their last five games including beating Kidderminster Harriers 3-1, said 19-year-old defender Trevon Bryan’s loan spell from Bolton Wanderers has expired and he has returned to his parent club.
The club also said 19-year-old midfielder Kaedyn Kamara has suffered an injury so has been recalled to his parent club, Preston North End, to be monitored.
Experienced defender Joe Mattock, who had played more than 200 games over a seven-year spell at Rotherham United, is the third player to depart, with the club citing travel distance.
"We thank the departing players for their contribution and wish them well in their future career," the club, who were beaten 4-0 at Edgar Street in November, said.
