Yusifu Ceesay was back at Edgar Street this afternoon.
He played the whole of the second half for Hereford in the friendly against West Brom Under 21's.
Afterwards during his post match interview manager Paul Caddis spoke about the winger.
"Ceesay and myself have a very open relationship," said Caddis.
"We've always been honest.
"Ceesay wanted to go abroad, he's still got that idea of going abroad, However he's got to move his family and stuff like that.
"So he wants to be at the club and I want to sign him but we've got a budget to work within and as a manager of a football club I can't wait for players.
"I want to sign Ceesay, Ceesay wants to be here.
"However we're not quite in a situation to get it over the line.
"We're hoping we can get some decent attendances over the next couple of pre-season games and we'll see if there is any more coming through Squad Builder.
"The Board has maximised what they can give us and we're appreciative of that.
"But I have a job to do, I have to bring players in, I have to get a team on the pitch.
"Let's make it clear, I want to sign Ceesay and Ceesay wants to be here.
"At the moment it's not possible."
