King's Lynn manager Mark Hughes is hoping to have a young, hungry and energatic squad this coming season.
A number of players, including 20 goal striker Gold Omotayo, have moved on and Hughes is hoping to promote some players from the club's academy.
"I did expect players to go," said Hughes.
"I think the boys played to a level where they did deserve to play in the National League or probably get themselves a better move financially, so that happened and we moved on really quickly. So three or four weeks after the season I had started my recruiting process to replace them quite early, which was good.
"We've missed out on a few targets, but I'm quite happy with the targets that we've got in.”
Hughes is hoping for a squad of around 18 players.
"I think the timing is right now to introduce a few of them, which would be great for the fans because everyone loves a King’s Lynn player homegrown, and they've already done five sessions with us and not looked out of place.
"So there's a group of eight players there that we can also embed in the squad. I know you can't beat the experience and we'll probably need two more experienced ones, probably a centre midfield player and another centre forward."
King's Lynn's first game of the season is against Hereford.
