Goal-keeper Harry Burgoyne has left Morecambe.
He says he's looking to return to the Ludlow area and would consider playing for Hereford as back up keeper for nothing.
'I am moving back due to the circumstances at my current club, Morecambe, and the sad fact that they might not exist beyond the next few weeks.'
Last week he tweeted:
'This is a tough one today.
I want to thank everyone at Morecambe F.C for the last year, I didnt want it to end like this.
I am praying for all the staff players and fans that positive news comes soon!
I’ve loved every minute sorry we couldnt do better for you.
Morecambe gave me one of the best days of my career at Chelsea, the thought of the club not being able to give you fans and players like me memories like that anymore is shameful.
The Shrimps family deserves better. Love to you all.
Jason, just do the right thing..PLEASE.'
28 year old Burgoyne started his career at Wolves. Later he was loaned out to several clubs before joining Shrewsbury in January 2020.
He moved to Morecambe in July 2024.
