In an interview with BBC Hereford and Worcester, Hereford chairman Jon Hale have spoken about what the club will be looking for in a new manager and he's asked former manager Graham Turner to help.
"I think the need for experience at National North is certainly high up on the criteria.
"It's a very very tough league. Obviously there are full time sides in our league and going forward, you always learn as you go alone as to what other clubs are doing, what works, but ultimately we've got to do what's right for us and what we feel is right for Hereford FC.
"Have a list of criteria that we are working with and that will take us through this recruitment process and we're very confident that we'll get a person who is the right person for this football club at this stage.
"Graham still has the club at heart, he's very keen to help in terms of just giving us advice, pointing us in the right direction and just being around if we want to bend his ear over any footballing matter but in particular at the moment with the recruitment process.
"I've spoken to Graham today and he'll be coming to one or two of our games as well just so we can have the opportunity to have those conversations.
"I know when we get closer to an appointment Graham will be very much involved in that process and I'm grateful for that."
Is there a timeframe for getting a new manager in place?
"We don't want to stand still on this. The process is underway straight away.
"We would like to think we can get that process completed as soon as possible.
"At the same time it's important not to jump into anything, we want to make sure that we consider applicants and people of interest and I have to say there has been a lot of interest since the statement that was made yesterday and I'm sure that will continue this week.
"So open minded, irons in the fire, we have to ensure who we end up with is the best person to manage Hereford FC and we'll make sure that we do that."
