Josh Gowling has distanced himself from the vacant manager's position at Boston. An article in the Non-League paper last weekend suggested he might have been a possible candidate.
Today he has told the Hereford Times that he was 'flattered' to be suggested as a candidate.
"It's nice to get linked with jobs of course, it tells you you're doing alright," he said.
"I saw it in the paper but haven't had any contact with them."
Meanwhile a club that Gowling played for during his career are also looking for a new manager.
Gillingham sacked Steve Evans, who was once at Boston, last Monday.
Gowling played for Gillingham between 2009 and 2011.
