Former Hereford FC striker John Mills has been released by Banbury United.
During his three years with the Bulls, Mills scored an astonishing 142 goals in just 159 games, helping the club to three consecutive promotions.
But after Hereford were placed in National League North after winning the Southern Premier, Oxfordshire-based Mills left the club and joined Bath City.
However, despite a promising pre-season with The Romans, Mills struggled to find his shooting boots in National League South and joined Banbury on loan.
But after also struggling at the Southern Premier side, Mills dropped back down to the Midland League to play for Westfields.
He did net a few goals at allpay.park, but at nowhere near the same rate as he did at Hereford and he was back at Banbury by the start of this season.
But after only scoring nine goals in 48 games during his two spells for The Puritans, Mills now finds himself without a club.
