Hereford Under-18 players Archie Muirhead, Rob Whitlock and Callum Wood have all signed first team registration forms,
“It’s so vital for a club like this to have a strong relationship between the academy and the first-team," said Hereford Manager Russell Slade, as reported on the club's official website.
“Making that pathway from the academy through to the first-team football much stronger is very much on my agenda.
“I’ve seen the youngsters train and play in a couple of practice matches and I’ve been really impressed with what I’ve seen."|
Head of Academy Andy Bevan added: All three players have embraced the time that they have already spent with the first-team, they have coped with the transition extremely well and I am really pleased for them.
“Russell and Tim [Harris] have been very welcoming towards the academy and they are both really keen to continue to bridge the gap between the academy and first-team. All three players will continue to train and play for the Under-18s but will have the opportunity to also be involved with the first-team, it’s a real win-win situation for them."
