FC's Christopher Lynch Nearly Blow A Fuse After A Tussle With Danny Greenslade |
FC United manager Neil Reynolds apologised to his supporters for a poor second half performance at Edgar Street yesterday. Hereford came back into the game after being 1-0 down at half time to win the FA Trophy tie 3-1.
Reynolds didn't see FC United's goal as he wasn't on the touchline until 30 minutes after the start of the game.
"Firstly a big apology to everyone who has travelled because the second half wasn't acceptable," said Reynolds as reported by FC United.
"I don't like losing games. Collectively too many people went missing other than Lynch, O'Halloran and the keeper."
It was the second time the two clubs had met in two weeks. FC United won the first game, in the League, 3-1.
"The league points are very very important. I don't like losing games but I'm glad we came here in the league game and did it that way around.
"However I thought we had enough today and win the Trophy tie as well.
"They had gone 13 games without a win but they got their tails up second half and had a go.
"We tried to play a ball out at 1-0 up, first minute of the second half on the edge of our box, with a square ball, it's gets incepted, they get a corner and they score from it.
"Next minute, it's a great finish and it's 2-1."
