Josh Beadle, who is the son of Hereford manager Pete Beadle and played one game in the Herefordshire FA County Challenge Cup for the Bulls, is on trial at Cirencester Town. Beadle Senior watched on from the sidelines as his son came off the bench during the 3-0 friendly win against Longlevens AFC. Cirencester ply their trade in the Southern League Division One West, with Beadle previously playing for Brimscombe and Thrupp.
As National League North clubs return to training after the summer break, AFC Telford United boss Gavin Cowan said his players won't be running up hills. Previously the Bucks have been training up the Wrekin, a hill just west of the town, but Cowan told the Shropshire Star he's going for a more 'football specific' approach this year.
Chester have extended their early bird season ticket offer as the club have been 'inundated' with ticket sales for their friendly against Liverpool next Saturday. With the club shop busier than expected, a statement said that some fans won't have been able to buy their season ticket before the deadline as they might have planned. According to the Weston Mercury, left-back Jordan Williams has joined Weston-Super-Mare for preseason training as the club try to fill the gap left by Danny Greenslade. He signed for Hereford last week after turning down a new deal with the Seagulls.
