Stourport Swifts have appointed Quentin Townsend as their manager. He started his career with Wolverhampton before moving to Hereford United in 1996. He only made ten appearances for the Bulls before moving to Worcester City.

Southend United are reported to be interested in striker Lyle Taylor who is expected to leave Wimbledon after failing to agree a new deal. Taylor, on loan from Bornemouth, had a spell at Edgar Street in 2012 scoring twice in eight games.

Keeper Cameron Clarke has quit Cinderford after Alex Harries returned to the club. Clark, a former Hereford United youth team player, is said to want regular football.

Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany has been linked with one of two takeover bids of Stockport County along with a Belgian businessman. The Manchester Evening News reports Kompany is associated with a Belgian entrepreneur who is behind one of two current bids but he is not an active part in the proposed takeover.
