Lance Smith Scoring Hereford's Second Goal Yesterday |
Lance Smith scored one of Hereford's three goals in the game against Chesham yesterday and feels confident in front of goal to add to his total.
"I've reached the 25 goals mark which I set myself at the start of the
year but I want to get to 30 and think I can with the form I'm in," Smith told the Hereford Times.
"I'm playing well and getting assists so I can't really complain. Steve Jenkins (Assistant manager) just said to me I should be getting two or three a game now and I had a couple of chances but they'll still come to me and I feel confident in front of goal.
"The two defeats gave us a kick up the back side and we knew we needed to perform again and get this run going. Going from left to right I like being a front man in the 18-yard box and some of the balls from Rob (Purdie) at the back post are just easy.
"One of the traits of my game is I never give up and always give 100 per cent. There were a couple of times the goalkeeper rolled it out so just gambled really."
