So with five games to go Hereford still need 107 points to be certain of lifting the title. In other words they need to win three of their last five games.
This week there are several matches in the Southern Prem. The one of most interest to Hereford supporters, other than their game at Hitchin, will be at Kings Lynn on Thursday when Kettering are the visitors.
Should Hereford win at Hitchin (10th) tomorrow evening, which is by no means certain given Hitchin put five past Frome last Saturday, and Kings Lynn defeat or draw with Kettering on Thursday, the title will look that little bit closer.
