Hereford striker Lance Smith gave his reaction to being defeated 2-0 by King's Lynn this afternoon at Edgar Street.
"They came here with a game plan," Smith told BBC Hereford and Worcester.
"They were very savvy, they knew what they were doing. They've got a few good players as well.
"They were top of the league for quite a while.
"But we're disappointed, we had a few chances but just didn't take them.
"The pitch was alright, it didn't cut up as much as we had thought.
"We had a few chances, Keyon hit the bar, Symo had another. If one of them had gone in it might have been a different story."
King's Lynn scored both their goals early in the second half.
"First one went in, maybe a bit of lapse in concentration, then they got a second which wasn't ideal.
"After that I thought we did put pressure on them but again it didn't fall to us.
"We always try and go down (towards the Meadow End) second half with the fans behind us. They were great again today but it was one of those days.
"If we could have nicked one towards the end it could have been a bit like Slough but we didn't.
"King's Lynn have scored five against us and all in the second half so there's something there to be looked at, may be a lapse of concentration for may be ten minutes. That's how they punished us."
Hereford can bounce back at Biggleswade next Tuesday.
"When we lost at King's Lynn we then had nine wins so we've got to show that character again. It's getting close to the end of the season, it's crunch time.
"We know with our ability we can put this run together, we're a bit disheartened in there but we have to keep our heads high. It's not going to affect us.
"We'll do a professional job there on Tuesday and again next Saturday."
