Ewyas Harold's manager Malcolm Watkins wants his players to show their true potential ahead of this evening County Cup semi-final against Hereford.
Watkins, who's been involved with the club for ten years, says it took a little time to sink in that his side would be playing under the lights at Edgar Street.
"We were extremely excited in advance of the draw for the Semi Final of the HFA County Cup back in December. We were reached the semi final having come through the two previous rounds on penalties against Bartestree and Leominster.
"I personally watched the draw live on Facebook at home and I must admit it took a little time to register that we had been drawn against Hereford at Edgar Street!
"Since the draw has been made the excitement has continued to build locally and we are very much hoping there will be a good gate. The fixture will be enjoyed by our loyal supporters as much as it will be by the players and management team and they deserve the opportunity to see their team at Edgar Street.
"I would like to put on record that the my gratitude for the communications from Hereford FC in advance of the fixture which has been fantastic."
Watkins also said that he was eagerly awaiting the chance to face Hereford, an opportunity which many other county league sides have already had.
"Many clubs locally have had the opportunity to play Hereford FC since its formation and we were very much hoping that our opportunity would come especially in a competitive fixture.
"We have a good local squad many of whom have played together for a number of years and throughly deserve their chance to play in the highest profile game Ewyas Harold have been involved in since its formation in 1897.
"I want our lads to enjoy the occasion which undoubtedly will be an extremely challenging evening but one that we will remember for a very long time! I hope that our players will have the opportunity to show their true potential and what they are capable of in front of a much larger crowd than we are used to."
Despite the tie, Watkins isn't losing sight of the club's main aim of challenging to be league champions.
"We are going into the fixture with our eyes wide open and no matter what the result we must retain our focus for the remainder of the season on challenging for the Hereford County League Premier Division.
"The Hereford County Premier Division is as competitive as I have seen it for many years and we hope that we will have a say in who wins that competition it come May."
