Club Needs Help To Remove Snow From Pitch

The Pitch Looked In Excellent Condition Last Saturday As Frost Covers Were Laid
Hereford FC are looking for help to remove snow from the Edgar Street pitch so it can be prepared for Thursday's FA Cup replay.

'We need a large amount of volunteers from 10am Tuesday to help remove snow from the Edgar Street pitch in order to get Thursday evening’s game on!

The pitch is currently covered in 8-10cms of snow, beneath the snow the pitch is in good condition, and tonight the snow is acting as a blanket, stopping the pitch from freezing on the coldest night of the year so far. However from tomorrow the process of removing the snow begins so that the team from Highground can prepare the playing surface.

We are looking for a large amount of volunteers to help remove the snow from the pitch starting on Tuesday and continuing into the evening and on Wednesday morning if required.

We will be sourcing a number of snow shovels, but supporters are also asked to bring their own if they have access to them. Please note, they must be snow shovels, and not spades so as to protect the pitch from damage.

Anyone who can help are asked to report to the main Addison’s Bar Reception from 10am onwards tomorrow, this job is likely to last all day, and volunteers are welcome to arrive whenever they are available.'
