Beadle Delighted To Have Billy Murphy In Squad

Recent Hereford FC signing Billy Murphy was subbed at half time in last night's game at Kettering.

Afterwards manager Peter Beadle told BN why he had come off.

"He felt his thigh in the warm up," Beadle told BN.

"I asked him how it was and he said okay.

"He came out and got through 45 minutes but that was the best we could get out of him.

"He had a good 45 minutes and hopefully now he'll have a rest. He's got four days to rest and recover ready for Saturday. But we've got Rob Purdie and Jamie Bird and possibly Tyrone Duffus coming back. So we've got plenty of bodies if needed.

"Obviously we would like to keep a bit of momentum, a bit of fluency.

"Billy has also played in all three games in a week and he's come from not playing at all much. He's probably due a rest.

"He's a quality player and when you put a quality player in with quality players the transition is easy.

"He's the type of player we like, he's calm, he's controlled, he's very meticulous in his play and you look around the team and we've got lots of players like that in the team.

"So he's settled in brilliantly, I didn't think any other as he's quality with quality.

"We knew his character and sometimes you take character over performance but Billy brings both to the table.

"It's a win win for us and we're delighted to have him."
