Merthyr are the visitors to Edgar Street today, with the phoenix clubs meeting only once in their current guises. In last year's HFA Senior Invitational Cup, the Martyrs beat Hereford 2-1 to lift the trophy.
Before that, Merthyr Tydfil were knocked out of the FA Cup by United, as they lost 3-2 at Edgar Street in 1989.
Oliver Davies, Stuart Fleetwood and gaffer Gavin Williams are just some of the ex-Bulls returning to Edgar Street today, with Fleetwood telling the Hereford Times that he hopes he'll get a 'half-decent reception'.
Peter Beadle has more defensive headaches after new signing Dan Preston went off injured in Saturday's 3-1 win at St. Neots.
Despite fellow debutant Dara O'Shea's sending off, he will be available as his suspension doesn't kick in until next Saturday.
Ryan Green is expected to miss out playing against his former club, but he will meet fans who donated money towards his medical treatment.
HUST, who coordinated the crowdfunding, said: "As a thank you, every one of you, who has donated, is invited to a photo opportunity with Ryan prior to the league match v Merthyr Town at Edgar Street tomorrow (Monday 28th August).
"If you could make your way to meet in Addisons for 1.20pm tomorrow where you will be met by Joanie Roberts. Andy Walkden has very kindly agreed to take the photo."
Also ahead of kick off, Ronnie Radford will open the new-look Radfords bar alongside sponsors Westons. The Junior Bulls gazebo will be outside, and HUST will be selling 50/50 tickets.
As usual, admission to the game is:
Adults £9 standing | £10 seated
Concessions £8 standing | £9 seated
U18s £2
HUST Juniors/Junior Bulls £1
If you can't get to Edgar Street today, both Radio Hereford FC and BBC H&W will bring live full match commentary, with Hereford Goals and Bulls News providing updates on Twitter.
