Lets start with a match from 13th October 1990, and a 3-0 win over a now Premier League team. Goals from Jon Narbett, Paul Millar and Paul Wheeler.
The best of series this week profiles Simon Brain. The diminutive striker was signed by Colin Addison from then non league Cheltenham Town in December 1990. Brain's most prolific season was the 1991/1992 campaign under the tutorship of John Sillett. Unfortunately two broken legs in 1992, and again in 1993 forced the popular strike to retire. Brain now lives in Evesham and works as a postman.
Finally lets go back to January 1996 and the Central News South preview of Hereford United's trip to White Hart Lane to face Tottenham in an FA Cup Replay. We get to hear from Graham Turner, Steve White, Neil Lyne and Dean Smith who seem very confident. Hereford lost 5-1.
