Larkhall Manager Steps Down

Larkhall Athletic have lost the services of their manager Wayne Thorne after he stepped down following Saturday's 2-0 home win against Slimbridge.

A club said in a statement that they are enormously grateful for his leadership and the part he played in their success over the last few years.

Thorne has been at the helm of the Somerset based club for six years, winning Western League Manager of the Year in 2014 when his side won both the league, and league cup.

Larkhall then narrowly missed on a second consecutive promotion when they lost 3-2 to Stratford Town in the 2015 play-off final.

The club say that for the time being, assistant managers Geraint Bater and Neil Arndale will take over the day-to-day running of the first team.

Larkhall travel to Edgar Street on Tuesday November 1st, with a 7.45pm kick off.
