Shortwood Game Remains All Ticket

The away game at Shortwood on Tuesday August 16th remains all ticket but every effort will be made to ensure as many Hereford supporters can get to the game as possible now that Hereford have agreed to sell tickets to their supporters.

BN understands that several discussions took place earlier today between Ken Kinnersley, the Hereford CEO, and Jim Cunneen, sectretary of Shortwood United FC.

"Ken is an absolute gent, a pleasure to deal with," commented Cunneen.

"The last thing either club wanted to do was inconvenience supporters."

Cunneen wouldn't comment on what led to Shortwood's statement last Friday in which they said that 'Hereford have now informed us that they will now not sell tickets to their supporters'.

Shortwood will dispatch 700 Adult tickets and 100 U16 tickets so that they can go on sale from Edgar Street later this week.

The capacity of the ground is 1300 and average gates 93 so should Hereford sell all their allocation, there may be a few more available.

As at all-ticket games last season, Hereford staff will take pre-sold tickets for collection at Shortwood but NO tickets will be available on the gate.

"We coped when Port Vale visited the ground in the FA Cup a few seasons ago," said Cunneen.

"But it is helpful to have figures of those attending in advance as it helps with catering etc."

Parking will be available in a field next to the ground. Shortwood give a donation to charity for its use.

However access to this parking is restricted to cars and small coaches only.
