Hat-Trick Hero Pablo Haysham |
Hereford had the majority of possession within the opening stages, with the first clear cut chance of the game coming in the 5th minute courtesy of Joe Tumelty. As a header forward by Jimmy Oates was brought down by Mike Symons, he offloaded to Joe Tumelty who’s shot on the turn went wide of the upright, much to relief of visiting keeper Joe McCormack.
7 minutes later, Pablo Haysham was brought down as he burst forward, being awarded a free kick 25-yards out by referee Paul Wainman.
As Haysham stepped up, his curling right-footed effort beat the 4-man wall, before nestling in the bottom right-hand corner of the net to open the scoring for the Whites.

The First Celebration Of Eight |
On the half hour mark Captain Rob Purdie came close to grabbing his 12th goal of the season. Lions skipper Nick Hall lost his footing allowing Purdie through on goal, but his shot from the edge of the box was parried before McCormack gathered.
But 3 minutes later Joe Tumelty extended Hereford's lead. Haysham did well to keep the ball in play under pressure from Ashleigh Lynch, cutting the ball back to Tumelty. He had time to pick his spot, firing low past McCormack for his 6th goal in a Hereford shirt.

And Then Celebrates With Rob Purdie |
With Hereford playing towards the Meadow End for the final time in the league this season, they started the half brightly with an early and ambitious effort from James Bowen whistling wide of the post.
3 minutes later, Pablo Haysham grabbed his second of the game in front of a Meadow End basking in the sunshine. Haysham played a neat one-two with Mike Symons within a congested penalty area before his low diagonal effort from the right-hand side of the box snuck in at the far post.

Despair From The Heanor Keeper As Jamie Willets Header Flies Into The Net |
Jamie Willets |
Just 2 minutes after Willets’ goal, the Whites found the back of the net once again. Aaron Birch played a through ball to Mike Symons, only for his shot on goal to be parried by the keeper; but the onrushing Pablo Haysham was on hand to clip the ball over Heanor’s stopper to complete his hat-trick.

7 minutes later Hereford had the ball in the back of the net but was disallowed for an infringement by Ryan Green. Sirdic Grant was impeded as he made progress down the right, before being replaced by Mustapha Bundu. The resulting free kick, taken by Rob Purdie, was met with a powerful header from Ryan Green, only for the goal to be disallowed after heading past McCormack.
In the 81st minute, substitute John Mills grabbed his 50th goal of the season. Bundu played a long ball forward to Mills, he was given time in the box to work the ball onto his favoured right foot, slotting the ball low past a very disheartened Joe McCormack.

2 minutes into stoppage time, Rob Purdie continued his run as the ball was played through, poking the ball away from keeper only to be upended as the referee immediately pointed to the spot.
Joe Tumelty stepped up to try and complete his hat-trick, but his firmly struck spotkick was pushed onto the post by the diving keeper as Heanor cleared the danger.
