HFA Agree To Change Date Of County Cup Final

The Governance Committee of the Association met on Thursday 3rd March to consider an application from Hereford FC to reschedule the final of the County Challenge Cup.

The decision being that the Final will be moved to May Bank Holiday 2nd May.

The Association wishes to give every assistance to the club to promote Football in Herefordshire by alleviating the pressure of fixtures.

This means that Hereford's away game at Alvechurch on Easter Monday can go ahead.

Update 9.30am: Alvechurch have welcomed the news that the game will be played on the set date. However the game will be all ticket. More details to follow.

Meanwhile reports that the Midland League Cup final will take place on May 2nd appear incorrect as the latest information released says that the final is set to take place on Tuesday May 3rd at Walsall.

This date may yet be changed if Walsall are in the play-offs.
