It's 25 On The Bounce For Hereford

Hereford FC go into the New Year having won their last 25 games in all competitions and having scored 104 goals. 77 of those goals have been from 23 Midland Premier League games.

It's a great achievement but how does manager Peter Beadle feel about it?

"I think the fact that we were 24 on the bounce before today showed everyone we were flying. I'd have been happy with 24 one-nils, that'll do me!" said Beadle.

"We have got players who will score goals and they are a threat.

"I was really surprised with the way last Saturday Westfields set up to play against us and we showed what we are capable of.

"Today was a little bit different but again you've seen the threat of our front four and what they can achieve and that's with one or two not playing.

"Joe has been playing with a problem and he didn't have his best game today but he was effective. He's got a bit of a problem with his foot which he is carrying at the moment so we are trying to manage with game time and stuff to keep him sharp. But he did look a bit flat today on times.

"The other two up front and Mustapha out wide, I thought they were excellent today and we've got Simmo and Nathan to come into it if we need them."

Interviewer Keith Hall then asked about the groundsmen who look after the pitch.

"I think the pitch is better today. Even looking at it now it looks as though no one has played on it. It looks fantastic.

"I know how hard they work here with Ben and the chap who works with him who I can't remember his name which will go down well I know! ( Memo to PB - It's Graeme Keeble)

"They were here on Christmas Day and to have two games in 48 hours at home bearing in mind that there have been so many games in our division called off recently, to play two so close together and the pitch hardly looking like it's been used has been fantastic.

"It provides the players with the sort of surface we need to play the way we want to play. Hopefully if the weather stays good it will be like this to the end of the season.

"They've put in a great shift over Christmas and like I said the pitch has been fantastic."
