Corby Made Approach For Mills

Hereford FC have confirmed that Corby Town made an approach for striker John Mills just a day or so before he committed his future to the club last Saturday.

Corby Town play in the Conference North but are close to the relegation zone.

Martin Watson, Hereford FC football secretary, told BN that although Corby play several divisions higher than Hereford they have quite small attendances .

"I think the attendances at Edgar Street were a factor in him signing a contract," said Watson.

Meanwhile Watson said that Pablo Haysham was still considering whether to sign a contract.

"Hopefully he will, perhaps by the weekend."
