4-1 Flattered Us A Bit Said Beadle

After Hereford 4-1 win over Westfields this evening manager Peter Beadle gave his thoughts on the game.

"I thought the first half was extremely competitive," said Beadle.

"Outside of the shot they scored from I don't remember too many others they had on target.

"We didn't have too many ourselves but their keeper had to make one or two saves in the first half.

"Second half we asked them to do something a little bit different, to get a bit closer especially in mid-field. We did that and I thought we dominated the second half.

"Once we got the second goal it would have been nicer to get the third, obviously whilst it was 2-1 there was only a goal in it it makes it competitive.

"In the end I thought we got the result we deserved."

As regards the Hereford goals:

"First one was a bit lucky, the second, third and fourth were all excellent goals. Well worked, good finishes, and on another day if we had just got the ball away quicker we may have had a few more opportunities.

"The important thing is that we got through, the important thing that we kept the run going and the important thing is that we, hopefully, have come out of it without too many injuries."

"The game was very similar to the game at their place, I thought there were one or two rash challenges but the referee dealt with them in the way he thought best, I don't think we agreed with some of them, we're not going to change his mind.

"Westfields stuck at it all the way through and made it competitive for us.

"Probably the 4-1 flattered us a little bit but at the end of the day we've put chances away and we're through to the next round. So we're happy with that."
