Hereford FC won this afternoon's match at Boldmere 3-0 with the goals all coming in the second half. Afterwards manager Peter Beadle spoke to BN.
"We're pleased," said Beadle.
"We said at half-time we needed to raise the tempo and the way we played. We had been comfortable in possession but when teams come and play like they did today and credit to them as they put a real shift in, they worked their socks off as they did at our place.
"We needed to move the ball quicker as it was quite a wide pitch. And I thought our passing sometimes was a little bit too short and too slow so it gave them time to regroup and they didn't have to do much running.
"Whereas second half I thought we moved it far quicker and over greater distances so they had to cover more areas of the pitch to block holes up which wore them out.
"That's what we have been trying to do, work teams hard and work them across the pitch and make them chase hard and wear them down.
"If they get possession then we try and win it back as quickly as we can.
"At half time we talked about moving it quicker, showing a bit more tempo in possession of the ball and taking a bit more care.
"And we did that.
"We had a few chances very early in the first half and then it was if we could create a chance and get a goal up it would be interesting to see how they responded.
"And we got the goal, they responded by not changing. They stayed as they were and were very solid as a team.
"I think getting the second goal so quickly afterwards was a bonus for us as that really killed the game off and then the third one was the icing on the cake.
"A fantastic pass from a player (Aaron Birch) who has gone a little bit under the radar recently.
"I think Aaron has played extremely well, I think he's been very good in his tempo and his game management has been excellent and his pass today was exceptional for John and John did what he is here for.
"So a great victory and a very good team performance both offensively and defensively because sometimes it goes un-noticed even with John with his runs and Pablo's work upfront and the work they put in. John's closed one down on the touchline, a ball he shouldn't have won and then he has managed to take it down with the keeper and get a throw in out of it in the final third. Sometimes that goes missed as well, he doesn't only score the goals but he's got a team ethic that he works hard as does Pablo as well, as does everybody and that's what gets us results."
Midfielder Aaron Birch scored this afternoon.
"I don't care where they come from as we keep going goals!
"Aaron came very close on Tuesday with a great piece of play in the box but it was nice. It was a great strike.
"There's a goal of him on YouTube where he scores for West Brom from 25 yards. We've been giving him a bit of stick about it but he's performed to a very high level recently and the goal has been the icing on the cake."
Birch received a nasty head injury early in the game.

"So Jonny patched him up as best he could and he managed to get through the game so he nearly wasn't even on the pitch.
"It's quite a nasty one, he will have to go off now and get it stitched or glued up. I think it will be stitched as it's quite deep.
"Credit to him as he didn't want to go off, he wanted to stay on and he's got a fantastic goal to show for it. Topped off by a very good performance by him."
