Dunkirk FC was formed in 1946 and play at the Ron Steel Sports Ground, Lenton Road, Nottingham.
Their nick-name is the 'Boatmen' and they are currently managed by Nick Hawkins.
The club was promoted to the Midland League after topping the East Midlands League in the 2009/10 season.
Last season Dunkirk finished in 19th position in the League with 42 points from 42 games.
Current players for the club include Tristam Whitman. His past clubs include Scarborough and Doncaster.
He played in the Scarborough team that draw 3-3 with Hereford United on Tuesday 3rd February 2004. On the night keeper Matt Baker managed to tip the ball over the goal 'from Whitman's long range effort just before half-time.' Tony James captained the Bulls that evening and Rob Purdie came on as a sub.
Whitman was also a member of the English team that took part in the Four Nations Tournament in 2003. Michael Rose and Matt Baker were also in the English squad that year whilst Tony James was in the Welsh squad.
Another of the Dunkirk squad is Eugen Bopp. He made over 200 Football League appearances whilst playing for Nottingham Forest, Rotherham United, Crewe Alexander and Portsmouth FC.
