News Round-Up

Darlington's plans to return to the town have been passed by Council planners. Work will now start on Darlington RFC's Blackwell Meadows home to bring it up to the FA C grading they need to compete next season. Oxford City are the latest club to move to a plastic pitch. The Conf North side will be the first in the division to have such a surface.

Kidderminster have confirmed they have paid their staff and players their outstanding wages after the bumper gate from their Bristol Rovers match. It is reported that £130,000 has been put into the club this season by two former Directors, far more than they had agreed to put in, while it has been claimed that some of their serving Directors have not put in the £10,000 a season injection that they are supposed to have.

Shrewsbury lost £285,000 during last season, in which they were relegated from League One. Chief Executive Matt Williams says the club will also lose a 'significant sum' this season whether they earn promotion or not. They are currently second in the League Two table, ten points inside the automatic promotion zone with five games left.
