News Round-Up

Six Preston players, and one from Barnsley, have been arrested in the ongoing match fixing investigation. The Daily Mail names the seven players as Preston's John Welsh, Keith Keane, Bailey Wright, David Buchanan, Ben Davies, and Graham Cummins, along with Barnsley midfielder Stephen Dawson. Six further players, arrested previously, have be re-arrested as the investigation progresses.

Mansfield are reported to be £4.6million in debt as at the start of the current season. Their latest accounts show they owe chairman John Radford all but £1million of their debts, with the bulk of the remainder owed to two former directors who are seeking repayment from the club. Lincoln will charge £18 for Adult admission on the day next season, and £16 in advance.

Halifax and Braintree drew 0-0 in last night's Conference game at the Shay. The Iron are up to fourth in the table, still holding a game in hand on the teams immediately below them.
