Hereford United secretary Lee Symonds has said that fundraising for the club has to continue despite the recent £78K tax demand being met.
"Chairman David Keyte spoke with HMRC on Friday and asked if we could have an adjournment which they said they wouldn't oppose," Symonds told BBC Hereford and Worcester.
"We had to attend court today and we were given the extension we asked for, the extra time we need to get over this hurdle and settle the outstanding debt.
"We were fairly optimistic we could pay the bill but people rallied to the cause and it shows that people are passionate about their club.
"This is a hurdle we get over but then we come up against another hurdle.
"It's like any business once we through one problem there's another around the corner."
So what needs to happen before the end of the season?
"We need points on the board to make sure we're Conference Premier next season.
"And then we'll continue the fundraising efforts, we've got to continue that drive so that we don't face too many big problems in the future, that we have a steady income coming through whether it's from the gates or from the functions we have here.
"We've got two good functions taking place this week. A tribute night to Madness on Friday night and then Ronnie Radford who is down for the game on Saturday, he's doing a question and answer session in the evening."
The Fundraising will continue?
"Not only Hereford United supporters, the football family have come to help Hereford United, people who may not be supporters, people who have no interest in football, they've realised the problems and they've wanted to make a donation and we appreciate that.
"We will continue on the fundraising. Donations can be made on-line."
