News Round-Up


Alfreton defender Michael Wylde will be out for several months after suffering a double leg break in their win over Chester at the weekend. The 27 year old former Cambridge man was stretchered off early in the second half. Reds chairman Wayne Bradley has apologised to fans for the club's points deduction for fielding an ineligible player, saying that the Conference office was closed when they faxed over the registration of keeper Jon Worsnop.

Kidderminster are reported to be signing Corby midfielder Aman Verma. The 27 year old previously had a loan spell with the Harriers during his time with Leicester. A club statement from Histon say the current board have reached agreement with the club's largest shareholder over their current crisis. Angelo Damo holds 31% of shares, but no details of the agreement have yet been made public.

Former Bulls loanee Steven Leslie has left Worcester and emigrated to Australia to continue his career. The former Shrewsbury winger played 16 times for the Conf North side this season. Barnet have loaned striker George Sykes to Conf South side St Albans. The teenager was only recalled to the Hive last week from a spell at Farnborough.

Lincoln striker Kris Bright has been banned for three matches after being sent off at the weekend. The Kiwi was dismissed late on in the win over Braintree for an alleged stamp. Barnet keeper Graham Stack has received a three match ban for his sending off at the weekend. The 32 year old had only just returned from two months out injured, and will miss the Bulls' trip to The Hive on Saturday. 

Two English players involved in the Southern Stars match fixing case in Australia have been handed worldwide lifetime bans. Joe Woolley and Reiss Noel admitted match fixing charges and were fined by an Australian court.
