Beadle Praises Players And Fans

Caretaker Manager Peter Beadle Talking To The Fourth Official

Speaking to BBC Hereford and Worcester after the game, Peter Beadle said he was pleased with the performance despite the result:

"I'm delighted. Really, really pleased. For 65 minutes I thought we were the better team. We lacked a little bit of quality in the final third, but that will come with time.

"Delighted for the boys. Their effort and application was spot on. Wasn't to be our day today as in the result, but it's a step - a building block to on to next week now."

Talking about the goals conceded, Beadle added: "Poor from us defensively, but we'll work on that. Their response to that, the reaction from the players, was spot on. They didn't put their heads down, they kept going, and we actually got better and better as the game went on."

Asked about Jarrod Bowen's debut: "Absolutely fantastic. I don't think you could have a better debut than that. I thought he was excellent today. Very rarely gave the ball away, caused a problem for their left back.

"That's a starting step for him. That's the standard he's set. Now it's up to him to carry on in that vein and produce more quality as he goes forward."

Keith Hall then asked about Rod McDonald's injury: "He said he caught one in the neck. He may well have blacked out for a short spell. As a precaution, take him off and make sure he's OK."

McDonald Later Told BN That Keeper Lloyd-Weston Had Accidentally Caught Him When Punching The Ball To Safety.

Beadle then also spoke about the support today: "They were the only ones you heard, for the whole game. Absolutely fantastic. We've asked for them to show faith in the players. They've done that today and I think the players have rewarded them with a very good performance. 

"Hopefully we can do the same for them next week and they'll come again and get behind the boys again."
