Preedy Pleads For Support At Next Home Game

Hereford United director Dave Preedy urged supporters to try and turn out for the next home game on January 18th against Southport after today's game against Kidderminster was called off.

"I didn't expect the weather we had this morning," he said the Official Site.

"It's not the drainage, it's the amount of water.

"It is a kick in the teeth, it seemed to me that today was the day because the form book was in our favour and the lads were up for it."

The club was expecting a good turnout from Kidderminster and had brought in extra catering.

"We're not going to get that for the rearranged game, we'll get a portion of it.

"Spoke to the chairman this morning, very disappointed because of the finances.

"It's gone and we have to carry on.

"It's a massive hit because we had a meeting yesterday talking through the finances.

"Get through December no problem, looking forward towards January. Now this, the pay day for January, we are not going to get.

"I ask the fans for the next home game to come in droves to help the club.

"It's tight, I can't put a happy slant on it.

"Happy New Year to everybody."
