Bulls Advent Calender - No.10

Number ten on the Bulls Advent Calender is Ollie Kearns.

After graduating to the Football League with Reading from non-league Banbury, Kearns had brief spells with Oxford and Walsall before arriving at Edgar Street in the summer of 1983 at the age of 27.

In four full seasons at Edgar Street he was top scorer twice, forming a renowned partnership with Stewart Phillips that was second only to the Bull/Mutch partnership at Wolves in terms of goals through the mid-80's.

He left Edgar Street for Wrexham, after losing his starting berth to Phil Stant, before returning to non-league with the likes of Kettering and Worcester before joining the newly formed Rushden and Diamonds, netting their first ever goal in 2002.

He hung up his boots at the age of 37, later moving into property development.
