BN Supports Youth Team Coach to Bournemouth

Young Bulls Celebrate Their Winning Goal At Chesterfield
Those of us who have been lucky enough to watch the Hereford United youth team's FA Youth Cup Ties have been impressed not only by their progress in the competition but also by the way they work together as a team.

In the second round they defeated MK Dons at Edgar Street and now face Bournemouth away on December 19th.

However the club are so short of funds that it had been proposed to drive them down to the South Coast in a mini-bus after the coach that took them to Chesterfield in the first round lost money.

Whilst gate receipts are supposed to cover the cost of the 'away' team coach to FA Youth Cup games, this didn't happen as Chesterfield charged just £3 for adults to watch the game.

When the receipts were totalled up there wasn't anywhere near enough to cover the cost of the coach.

In discussions with director Dave Preedy after the MK Dons game, BN was told that the club would have to revert to a mini-bus for the long journey to Bournemouth.

This, BN felt, would probably be the biggest game that Hereford United's Youth team had faced for a long time and so BN will make a contribution to the cost of a coach.

Please note supporters can travel with the team for £15.

The coach will leave Edgar Street at 2pm.

For booking please contact the club on 08442 76 1939.
